I uploaded to the page (Carlisle bands) a CD I was given by Dung many years ago, from his band “Every Smiles a Lie”. Being a friend of Dung’s for many years I sort of grew up with his music (we had played together in the band ‘Frenzy’ and we had performned each others songs for years). I compiled a CD and a few demo recordings onto one playlist for the blog. The early music is the acoustic (based) tracks, while the more thrash is the later compositions. Some of this music can be found in a different style on the page “Hadrian Ward” where I am playing rhythm guitar, and may sound a little different than here. Hell Exists was Dung’s song which was covered quite a few times around Carlisle! I believe they played a few gigs which I have tried to include in the pages.
I lost contact with Dung years ago, but I like/d his music. His influences were The Dead Kennedys, Killing Joke, Joy Division, Anti Nowhere League, and lots more; all of which can be glimpsed in his music I think.
He later did a CD under a different band called “Pop Corpse” with the CD title of “Dead Friends”. A musical shift into the hardcore which reflected his listening tastes and his own environment. I include it here too:
