Blog Intentions

I am pleased the way the blog has gone so far, after releasing it to the web/FB. I did not know what to expect when it went public. I did not expect much happening, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got some feedback and some responses to the pages.
What I intend to do now it complete the blog as much as I can. I still have a lot of mp3s to Upload and Kevin Stables has kindly offered use of his computer to upload any material, as my internet connection at home is not good. I have photos too to add to the pages and more info to the “Influenced” page.

When it is ready I want to go to the local Radio Station “Radio Cumbria” and try and get some airplay to promote the blog over Cumbria.
My intention is to get more people involved. I can speak about my own experiences but when it comes to other people bands I am lacking.
So, if I can get people interested by getting them to do an interview I will edit that and upload it to Audiomack and post it on the blog. There are people with a loft full of photos and demos I know, it is getting them to make the effort and share this material.

Sean Todhunter played quite a lot of Carlisle/West Cumbrian bands from the 1980s last night on his radio podcaste, this was great; and another 2 radio programmes will follow about local Cumbrian bands.

For me this is what it is all about, to play equally as much the local bands as you would the national/international al bands. “Keep it local”
